Firefox will not start up! I get an error message and it stops responding. Help?
The error message says “firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” Then it gives me an option to send an error message or not. The entire program stops responding as I try to launch it. I tried operating it in safe mode and it doesn’t work. I recently updated to a newer version, but it worked fine after the update. I tried restarting my computer to no avail. I even attempting starting firefox through a new profile but that didn’t work either. After looking on some forums for help, someone said it could be a hardware issue. My computer constantly overheats, and I’m wondering if the insides have melted somehow? I don’t know if that sounds stupid. My entire life is on Firefox, I hate IE. I can’t live without Stumbleupon! Please help me!
Until you get firefox fix, try opera, it is another good browser
http://www.opera.com/
and also have add like stumbleupon like

When you update firefox and it doesn’t function properly, either you have updated with beta version or you have so many plug-in/addons in old firefox that new version of firefox doesn’t support and crash.
1>Uninstall…
2>look for firefox folders (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory) & delete them or ensure you have all plugins/addons remove before uninstall — ensure you back up your bookmark, etc
3>install firefox
4> install addons ensuring that it is compatible with the installed version of firefox.
